Boarding School Counseling Services

My work with boarding school applicants is primarily with the parent, but I work one-on-one with the student in interview prep, essay review, and discussion of the schools. 

Comprehensive Package

We start with an intake meeting and review of the student’s grades, courses and testing.   We discuss the reasons for boarding school and what the family hopes to get out of the experience.  The family is given a detailed list of schools that are good fits, and advice on how to research and evaluate the schools.  We go through the entire process together, including interview prep, essay review, parent statement discussion.  I connect with boarding schools on your behalf when applicable.

Boarding School List Development Meeting

We start with an intake meeting and an informative discussion of the boarding school process.  You receive a report with a boarding school list and your child’s chances of acceptance at each, along with tips on how to go through the admissions process successfully.
