College Counseling

We start our journey together with an intake meeting and self-assessment, and finish our work when the final college decision has been made. In between are many discussions of strategy, fit, cost, and deadlines, along with some fun in the writing and supplement creative process.

On-Going College Counseling: Grades 10-12

There is a one fee for on-going college counseling services which is the same whether you begin in 10th grade or 11th grade. Half the fee is paid at the start and the other half during the spring of junior year.

One-Time College List Development & Strategy Meeting:

We start with an intake meeting and an informative discussion of the college process. You receive a report with a ranked college list and suggestions on the application process.

9th Grade Strategy Meeting:

An early discussion of college, summer programs, award programs and course selection for motivated students.

Private School Counseling

We help families evaluate private schools and navigate the admissions process.

Our work is primarily with the parents, but we do interview prep and essay review directly with the student.

One-Time Boarding School School List Development & Strategy Meeting:

We start with an intake meeting and an informative discussion of the boarding school process. You receive a report with boarding school list and your child’s chances of acceptance.

One-Time Day School List Development & Strategy Meeting:

We review grades and testing and discuss the local day school options. We do a practice interview with your student and discuss the schools under consideration, the application process, and your child’s chances of acceptance.

Boarding School On-Going Consulting Package:

We start with an intake meeting and review of the students grades, courses and testing. We discuss the reasons for boarding school and what the family hopes to get out of the experience. The family is given a detailed list of schools that are good fits, and advice on how to research and evaluate the schools. We go through the entire process together, including interview prep, essay review, parent statement discussion. We connect with boarding schools on your behalf when applicable.
